This film deserves all the hype. - 5 out of 5 (2/18/2005)
A truly great film - and it doesn't gloss over the problems with drugs in his early life. The music, of course, is incredible. Acting and directing are also the tops. It deserves all the press and awards it has been getting. It's a don't-miss film. Buy it, because you will view it again and again.
