Average DVD. - 3 out of 5  (1/31/2005) Every year, we see a ton of bad movies that should have never gotten made, but 1992's The Bodyguard is one of those rare exceptions - it's a good movie that should have never gotten made, simply because the premise is so clichéd. The script for The Bodyguard has an interesting history. It was the first script ever sold by screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and was originally written for Steve McQueen and Diana Ross.
