Like many out there, I happened upon Donnie Darko with its initial DVD release - having missed the film during its theatrical run. And like many out there, I totally fell in love with the film, finding it quirky, mysterious and downright enthralling. So I anxiously awaited this new director's cut of the movie - wanting to see if director Richard Kelly could somehow make his near-masterpiece even better.
But Kelly has made the mistake of putting too much back into the film. I'
