After narrowly escaping the horrors of the underground Hive facility, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is quickly thrust back into a war raging above ground between the living and the Undead. As the city is locked down under quarantine, Alice joins a small band of elite soldiers, led by Valentine (Sienna Guillory, Love Actually) and Carlos (Oded Fehr, The Mummy Returns) enlisted to rescue the missing daughter of Dr. Ashford, the creator of the mutating T-virus. It's a heart-pounding race against time as the group faces off against hordes of blood-thirsty zombies, stealthy Lickers, mutant canines and the most sinister foe yet.

With the outstanding line of games with the Resident Evil name attached to it, this movie falls short in my opinion. I wouldn't rate it high on my "Top 5 Zombie List", even though it was entertaining. Too much story was crammed into the first 10 minutes. "The Hive" was re-opened and before you know it the whole city is under quarantine with a massive wall built around the perimeter of the entire city, and all of this happened seemingly in the first 10-15 minutes.

Sets new standards for horror flicks! - 4.75 out of 5 (1/17/2005)
This one has it all! Incredibly crisp video, audio with "presence" and an excellent story line. And the special effects were nothing short of amazing. This one is far better than the first (which was excellent) or second release. And both of those were great! A perfect blend of horror and action with one of the best selection of cast members ever assembled for a movie. I bought my own copy of this one immediately, as most of you will do as well after seeing it!

Resident Evil: Apocalypse has way more depth to the story, action and characters! For me, it was easier to understand than the first and has a lot more action! Milla doesn't look too bad either! The video quality is very clear and is mastered in Hi-Def. The audio quality is just the same by giving great 5.1 audio feedback. There are a total of three commentaries and lots of other bonus features! Overall, if you are a fan of Resident Evil, buy this movie! It is truly bett
