Get Ready For The Ride Of Your Life! - 4.75 out of 5 (1/3/2005)
It's a shame that Tom Cruise has been blessed with such "movie star" looks, because critics often overlook what an incredibly gifted actor he is. Cruise gives one of his darkest performances to date in Michael Mann's Collateral, and it turns out to be one of the most interesting characters he as played on the big screen.

Tom Cruise as a bad guy...count me in! - 5 out of 5 (1/14/2005)
What a killer flick by Michael Mann! Jamie Foxx, in my eye, could win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this film and the Best Actor Oscar for Ray - he is finally an A-lister! Tom Cruise is so smooth and "with it" as the assassin, it's scary to watch as he elevates his game to a new level.

Great! - 4.5 out of 5 (12/20/2004)
An incredible, well-done movie by Michael Mann and crew. Jamie Foxx's performance is exceptional, as is Tom Cruise's. The attention to detail and the directors ability to cover all the angles is superb. The script is outstanding. I caught myself laughing at the callousness of Tom Cruise's character and the "off the collar" remarks throughout the show. The special features are also very well-done. The making of the movie featurette is very in-depth and precise.

Michael Mann comes through once again! - 5 out of 5 (12/15/2004)
This movie does have its share of action, but is also character driven like Heat. In the informative documentary, the cast members liken Mann to a "Professor" with a depth of knowledge unlike most directors. Rich in its scenic detail and even the gunfire is so accurate and realistic. The actors preparation is covered in the documentary. Cruise had firearms training under a former SAS soldier! Filmed in high definition this DVD is worth a repeat viewing. I cant wait to listen to the commen
