Not as bad as you might have heard - 3.5 out of 5 (11/8/2004)
I apologize up front for sounding even snarkier than usual but that loud sound you just heard crashing wasn't a hot air balloon going the wrong direction, but rather the latest Disney live action effort AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS coming to an abrupt halt.
The movie cost 110 Million to make and has thus far grossed 24 Million of that back Some people are still scratching their heads as to why people didn't want to see the latest version of the classic story mixed with an appropriate amount o

Interesting remake - 3.5 out of 5 (11/17/2004)
The original movie showed the American audience the charm of the world. It was a travelogue movie done with the American audience liked to watch travelogues on TV. With those days long gone, the remake tries to rely on humor and Jackie Chan choreography to hold the audience. But all good plans failed and the only star performer in the film is the co-starring female role. Also she is the only character in the film that you want to know more about.
