Customer Review Just retire the theatrical cut - 3.75 out of 5  (12/31/2004) As others have stated, this director's cut is far and away superior to the theatrical release. It doesn't hurry through the fight scenes (especially the final showdown with the Kingpin, who is shown to be more fearsome in this version) and restores a subplot that, quite apart from its tie-in to the main storyline, provides moments of greater insight into the characters, their motivations and their relationships. This film deals more on him protecting city, not as revenge for Elektra death/dissappearance. Fight scene is better one at end also. the end fight scene was cut very short in theaterical release and felt like a let down. Over all this should have been the movie release in my opinion.   more >>
