When there's no more roomiin hell...the DEAD will walk theiearth!
This sequel to Night of the Living Dead is filled with splattered blood and brains in living color. The dead have come back to life to eat the living. This is the story of four people's escape from an urban nightmare to a suburban one. They barricade themselves in a shopping mall and try to start new lives. Much of this movie was filmed outside Pittsburgh.
Includes three versions of the film. The original U.S. Theatrical version (127 minutes), the Extended Version that premiered the film at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival (139 minutes) and the European Version edited by Italian Director Dario Argento (118 minutes) which contains more gore and less humor.

Ultimate Edition Dawn Of The Dead Review - 5 out of 5 (9/7/2004)
Dawn Of The Dead is the greatest zombie movie ever
made, and I'm not just saying that because I live 10 minutes from where the majority of it was filmed. Every single zombie flick made since (and
pseudo-zombie flicks like 28 Days Later) have either been highly influenced by Dawn Of The Dead, or they have just been flat out ripping it off. Everything from its groundbreaking gore effects to its hilarious commentary on consumer satire, this film was light years ahead of its time.

Ultimate Zombie fan - 4.75 out of 5 (9/15/2004)
I think every fan should buy this set today! The Dawn of the Dead Ultimate set is a must have for any George Romero trilogy fans. This 4 Disc set in widescreen format contains hours of zombie watching and comments from the people who worked on the film. The box is done in black of course. On the first disc you get to see the Dawn of the Dead we saw in theaters. There are also cool commentaries and trailers which I missed the first time it came out in theathers. There's some interesting stuff wit

When there's no more room in hell.... - 5 out of 5 (9/15/2004)
The Dead will go SHOPPING!!! What a BOX SET!! It has all THREE CUTS!! Commentary tracks galore! Mr. & Mrs. Romero, Tom Savini, and all the actors. This is the original movie not the mediocre "re-evision". This movie is far more intelligent, it has social commentary, superb acting. The only beef is that my favorite cut does not have a 5.1 soundtrack. It has mono, which is what the original mix was so its not a HUGE deal. And the extras, man, yeeeah... extras EVERYWHERE!!! I loved seeing the tour
