Empire Review As stylish as they come - 3.5 out of 5  (11/24/2004) THE HUNGER is one of those films that just begs for DVD treatment. Up until recently, all we had was the old VHS version from MGM, and if your movie collection happens to be as old as mine, then you also had it in the oversized silver box which was almost impossible to open. But now we have a widescreen version of the debut film of Tony Scott (TOP GUN, MAN ON FIRE) and THE HUNGER makes it plain to see that his sense of visual style was there from the beginning.
