See Machete-Wielding Jason on DVD for a Steal! - 4 out of 5 (12/5/2005)
Do you live for horror movies? If the answer is "yes," then you are in store for a real treat. This DVD boxed set features the first eight films in the wildly successful Friday the 13th franchise.
The only reputable actors recognizable in these films are Kevin Bacon (Part I,) Corey Feldman (Parts IV and V,) and Crispin Glover from Back to the Future (Part IV.) Otherwise, the teens in these bloodbaths are targets that serve either to be mutilated by Jason in endlessly creative w

Great Audio & Visuals , OK Extras - 4.5 out of 5 (11/8/2004)
The mono audio is the original audio for parts 1-5 and they sound terrific.
The last four films were made in stereo and also sound great. Only part 7 has a 5.1 option(& sounds terrible compared to the original mix),since it is a direct port of the current dvd release.
So you should not be surprised that the films are the same exact transfers as the original releases(expect 1 & 4 which have corrected transfers) if you actually kept up on the news regarding this release(which was ALL over th

DONT BUY, all are mono except last 3 movies - 2.5 out of 5 (10/21/2004)
lame indeed. they state it has 5.1 surround sound so thats the only reason i bought this box set so i could go from my mono movies to surround sound. well no surround sounds except for one movie in 5.1.
theres no difference in any of these movies from ones you already have or can go get.
