Magical - 4.5 out of 5 (5/20/1999)
You don't see many films like this anymore. This is a great family film and it has a great magical quality to it. The scenery is BREATHTAKING and the music is haunting and beautiful. A good story and a very good adaption from the book.
There are 3 trailers, adequate surround audio, and excellent video. The features include a lot of production notes which are informative.
Excellent film. Highly reccomended.

Yet another fine example - 3.5 out of 5 (5/8/1998)
Chalk it up for another great family title from
Warner. They don't make many films like this
anymore.
The Dolby Surround sound is adequate and the film
is letterboxed. The extras are something to cheer
about. While there are no extensive supplements and
behind-the-scenes featurettes, the text production
notes are very informative. It makes watching the
film all that more enjoyable.
Warner, and all other studios, keep releasing DVDs
like this! Great job.
