To everyone who's ever been called a freak, this is for you. - 3 out of 5 (7/7/2003)
If you're like me and movies such as Donnie Darko or Ginger Snaps or SLC Punk are great in your eyes, you will love this movie. I love all movies about individuals and outcasts, and this falls into the very enlightening section of that category. Powder is one of the coolest characters in any movie I've seen, and just Sean Patrick Flanery's performance makes this a worthwhile movie.
Overall, it kicks all ass.

You about have to, for the chills this movie provides will stay with you the whole day. Such a beautiful story full of heartache and compassion. Watch this with your best friend so you have a shoulder to cry on.
Sean Patrick is beyond words, he makes this movie!!

Sensitive and Powerful - 3.75 out of 5 (9/28/2001)
Victor Salva (Director of recent horror release Jeepers Creepers) directs a provocative film about a young man with very unusual gifts granted from a bizarre pre-birth incident. This movie points some basic faults as ordinary humans such as ridicule, prejudice, insensitivity and gives us a glimpse of a young man with feelings so acute that it's difficult to understand. I thuroughly enjoyed the story, performances and thought enough to own it on DVD and I am not usually a fan of emotional movies
