I'm Back
Disney's hilarious My Favorite Martian is an intergalactic comedy that crash-lands the classic television series into the nineties!
This hilarious adventure begins when an ambitious TV reporter, Tim O'Hara (Jeff Daniels), stumbles upon a Martian (Christopher Lloyd) who has just crashed on Earth! Thinking this is the story of the millennium; Tim schemes to expose the Martian - who has taken human form as "Uncle Martin." When Tim's efforts are constantly foiled by Uncle Martin's crazy antics, he decides to help the resourceful alien return home. With the government hot on their trail and a spaceship in pieces, can they blast Uncle Martin off in time? Wild special effects create outrageous laughs, including aliens morphing, cars shrinking, objects floating and Martin's rowdy spacesuit, Zoot.
Also starring Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers), Daryl Hannah (Splash) and Ray Walston (from the original "My Favorite Marian" television series), Disney's My Favorite Martian keeps kids and parents entertained over and over again with its fast-pace action and nonstop laughs!

Sequel or remake? - 3 out of 5 (1/29/2001)
There is an annoying trend in remaking old television shows into movies that
makes the audience wonder whether it is a sequel or a remake. I bring this
up because I really liked "My Favorite Martian" as a movie all on its own,
but when they introduced Ray Walston as the UFO investigator ten minutes in,
I knew where it was going.
Now that I have ruined it for you (not really, because they broadcast this
plot point louder than the Super Bowl!) I will go back and say that the

Good fun for whole family:) - 3.5 out of 5 (2/17/2000)
Martians has arrived!!!
This film is hilarious sometimes, sometimes a bit dull
but it is enjoyable anyway. It is an average movie
with an interesting plot and good effects.
It isnt the best of its kind so be warned.
As always it lacks features for disney dvd but
there is surprise in this one.
You get a production featurette which is so so.
Video is great and widescreen.Little kids enjoy this
film much but I cannot say that for adults.
Mars Attacks is better for a martian movie:)))

A fun remake of the hit 60's TV show. - 3.75 out of 5 (9/25/1999)
Very view TV remakes are worth going to see. Some are great (George of the Jungle) some are so bad you can't even remember what they were.
My Favorite Martian lands, somewhere in the middle. It isn't bad...no not at all. But it isn't the greatest remake to ever hit the screen either. What it is, is a fun family film. While some scenes might be a little bit too scary for the really young ones, everyone else should enjoy it.
Typical of Disney, the DVD has few extra features. It does ha
