BLUE UNDERGROUND MAKES FULCI'S MEDIOCRE FANTASY SAGA SEEM BETTER - 3.5 out of 5 (9/7/2004)
Coming at the tail end of Lucio Fulci's string of early 80's horror hits, CONQUEST signified a pivotal point of departure in the director's career, though one that most would say wasn't a fortunate one. Made after MANHATTAN BABY, it was the film that directly followed Fulci's permanent separation from the two men considered to have been his best suited collaborators - screeenwriter Dardano Sachetti and producer Fabrizio De Angelis.
