Vampires and Werewolves, oh my! - 4.75 out of 5 (6/7/2004)
For centuries a secret war has been raging amongst us, unbeknownst to the mortal world. And now thanks to Columbia/Tri-Star and their love of multiple editions of films, it will now rage 25 minutes longer. Yes, the extended/unrated cut of Underworld has been released on DVD, just in time for, well nothing really. But if you liked the Theatrical cut of the film as I did, you will enjoy this cut more, even if you did just pay the credit card bill with the theatrical release on it.

Entertaining (if not cheesy)...Great DVD! - 4.25 out of 5 (8/2/2004)
Despite some apparent cheesiness, Underworld is never dull. The extra footage is a real improvement from the theatrical release. The disc itself is nice: great sound, great picture, good features. If you like comic-book and/or horror films, give this one a look.

B-o-r-i-n-g with a big blue B! - 1 out of 5 (6/15/2004)
The smallest fraction of originality was combining two creatures of the night that hadn't been done before... but that is where the interest in this film ends.
Using a blue filter with a majority of the film taking place at night in dark places was about as original and effective as the blue filter and vasolined lens used to film Spielburg's unoriginal abomination Minority Report.
I'd rather be forced to watch repetitive episodes of Interview With the Vampire!
