One of the best films ever made! - 3 out of 5 (8/21/2000)
I know that the film itself has some problems, black levels and a lot of digital enhancements. But I feel this only adds character to the film. The mentioned artifacts only pulled myself into this film, I feel that only myself discovered these flaws and enjoyed them.
Remember the leader of the gang that was sent flying into the lake in his car, RC car that is, I can only say that this was so blatant that the director wanted to soften the image more like the comic book.

A Better Title: The Turkey - 2.75 out of 5 (2/23/2000)
I got this DVD in expectation of seeing a cerebral psychodrama in dark tones. What I got was a C-rated revenge flick with occult mumbo-jumbo thrown in as gratutious filler. It was a struggle to watch this waste of celluloid to the end. Every character was absolutely two-dimensional and perfectly predictable, the easiest prediction being that when the time came, the part would be overacted. Brandon Lee couldn't act to save his butt (and apparently didn't).

I am a big Alex Proyas fan ever since this film (this being his first feature file). On the eve of their Halloween wedding, a young rocker and his fiance' are brutally murdered. Exactly one year to the day of their murder Eric is brought back from the dead by a 'hypnotic crow' to enact revenge on the gun-toating, Detroit-city-rock-and-roller punks who killed him.
