Euro Thriller Collection
Beheaded in the 15th Century for witchcraft and unspeakable acts of barbaric excess, Alaric de Marnac (Spain's legendary horror king, Paul Naschy) returns to life in contemporary France to seek vengeance on his executioners' descendants. Assisting him is resurrected mistress, Mabille de Lancre (Helga Line), an equally vile Satanist hungry for illicit pleasures and ripped-out hearts.
Because the Spanish government would not allow a story so shocking to be set in his native Spain, Naschy (writing the screenplay under his real name, Jacinto Molina) had to locate the action in France. Forbidden, too, was the abundant nudity on display, allow only in the export international version.
Presented for the first time in both its US general release and international UNCENSORED edition.
