Cecil B. DeMille's
For sheer pageantry and spectacle, few motion pictures can claim to equal the splendor of Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 remake of his epic The Ten Commandments. Filmed in Egypt and the Sinai with one of the biggest sets ever constructed for a motion picture, this version tells the story of the life of Moses (Charlton Heston), once favored in the Pharaoh's (Yul Brynner) household, who turned his back on a privileged life to lead his people to freedom. With a rare on-screen introduction by Cecil B. DeMille himself.

One of the best epic films ever made - 5 out of 5 (3/15/2004)
Hollywood has always loved the spectacle, the huge film that can capture the imagination of the audience. Few movie makes did this as well as than Cecil B. DeMille. Without a doubt his master opus remains The Ten Commandments. Even now, almost half a century after its release this film stands far above most such films. For a plot that encompasses passion, drama and action few source materials can top the Bible. Although the title refers to the famous stone tablets given by God to Moses, this eve

The Greatest !!!!! - 4.75 out of 5 (5/26/2009)
The greaest movie ever and very good picture and true stereo sound !!! Mr. Heston was magnificent in this film. It is a shame Holloywood has lost the ability and desire to make great movies like this anymore instead of the trash they produce now !
