A plane crash in the freezing Alaskan wilderness pits intellectual billionaire Charles Morse against self satisfied fashion photographer Robert Green in a brutal struggle for survival. Each soon discovers that the greatest danger resides not in nature, but from human fear, treachery, and quite possible, murder. This "nerve-racking adventure" filled with non-stop action and "gripping suspense" is a harrowing tale from one of America's leading screenwriters, David Mamet.

Always on the Edge - 4.5 out of 5 (8/20/2001)
High expectations are difficult to meet. However, the combination of Academy award winner, Anthony Hopkins, and America's leading screenwriter, David Mamet in "The Edge" would make anyone expect only the best. The more I watch this movie, the better it gets! - 4.5 out of 5 (3/20/2000)
With all the current crappy movies released in a typical month from Hollywood, it is good to know that one can always turn to DVDs and watch hidden gems better than 90% of what is playing in theaters at any give time. Screen writer David Mamet gives us intelligent dialogue and director Lee Tamahori

One of the best, most under-rated movies I have ever seen. - 5 out of 5 (9/11/1999)
I do not remember this movie coming out in the theater. But, after watching it, I have classified it as one of the best, most under-rated movies I have ever seen. You would not think that from the ratings it received on this site although most reviewers rated it well. They simply did not score it high enough. Buy this movie. It is very entertaining with an excellant picture, great dialogue and good sonics.
