In the blockbuster Romancing The Stone, novelist Joan Wilder and wanderer Jack Colton went sailing off into the sunset together. Entertaining is the Jewel but Average - 2.75 out of 5 (6/5/1999)
I thought the Video color was richer then Romancing the Stone and had a little better sound quality but since its not DD only average. It beats Video and if you are into Douglas and like a fun movie I would buy it but its not reference quality so dont expect oooohs and Ahhhhs. Not much exra features either..I was hoping for the Music video which they made in the extras but no dice.

Poor Attempt by Fox - 2.5 out of 5 (6/3/1999)
I was quite looking forward to seeing this DVD but ultimately the quality is a total let-down.
The film itself is a good adventure yarn with decent performances from Douglas and Turner.
Unfortunately Fox have put absolutely no effort into this DVD:
The video is not anamorphic and is full of unsightly artifacts.
The audio is only Dolby Surround.
There are no extras to speak of, only a trailer for the movie and the quality is particularly terrible.

Not as good as the original - 3.5 out of 5 (5/26/1999)
While this film attempts a look at great adventure as the prequel did, it just doesn't have the same feel to it. This seems more like an action film than it does a romantic comedy adventure. Still, if you liked the original, you wont be dissapointed by this one.
The DVD's main problem is its lack of features which only includes one trailer. Dolby Surround, and non anamorphic video are also a part of the disc.
Despite the DVD's flaws, this is still a great way to spend 2 hours.
