Customer Review Superb slice of life - 3.25 out of 5  (4/19/2001) it is quite an opposite of a typical Hollywood movie - it portrays just twenty four hours in life of a number of ordinary people who have to solve problems of trust, love, jealousy, flirtations... Each character, like a person we meet in real life, may or may not be important, may or may not stay in our lives for long. There are no dramatic moments, no tragedies, no orchestral music to punctuate the plot - it is as simple as one's life - with its little joys and disappointments, small hopes and   more >> Customer Review WOMEN ARE HARD TO UNDERSTAND - 3 out of 5  (11/13/1999) THE AVIATOR'S WIFE is not a movie about the wife of an aviator nor about a love story in the air. In fact, we'll just admire that lucky woman on a photography during a few seconds in Eric Rohmer's first movie of the "comedies and proverbs" serie. But she really has, in the Rohmer's way of thinking, the main role of the movie.
