Empire Review Good for a laugh - 3.75 out of 5  (12/22/2003) Jackie Chan is the closest thing that Hollywood has to a superhero, so THE MEDALLION doesn't really stretch things that far to assume that he is one. The original title for the film was HIGH BINDERS and I only bring that up because it's a close match to HIGHLANDER which is the film that they borrowed the immortal angle from. They also borrow liberally from other films to get the final product. The worst offense would be THE GOLDEN CHILD from which much of the plot is lifted.
