"A very funny, very hip, very terrific sci-fi show." -The New York Post
Five hundred years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

Now you can see this excellent series the way it should have been seen - 4.5 out of 5 (12/19/2003)
There are times when a television network completely destroys a good show. Typically this is done by not giving it a consistent time slot, the required promotion or even airing the episodes out of order. In the case of Firefly it was all of the above. This is the tragic case of a show with excellent potential that was completely robbed of any chance by the short sighted network executives. Now at least with the release of the DVD the Fox network has atoned for some of this. Firefly was the lates

Firefly, we never got to know ya! - 4.25 out of 5 (12/8/2003)
Okay, all you folks drooling for FIREFLY to hit DVD, I have one question for you.
Where the hell were you when the show was airing on Friday nights on the Fox network?
Ok, never mind, you were watching FARSCAPE. Much like the rest of us.
So let's review what made a fantastic show like FIREFLY bomb on television. Attention FOX Network Exec.'s because you can really learn a lot from us geeks. We are a strong and fickle bunch and banded together we control most of the computers in the

Great Series - 4.5 out of 5 (8/11/2006)
Too bad this didn't do well on TV, but the series is excellent and you can really "get into it". Characters are well-defined and the acting is good. The sci-fi and cowboy themes go well together.

Probably the best Sci-Fi show I have seen. - 5 out of 5 (11/14/2005)
Firefly is quite simply one of the best shows I have ever seen. The writing, characterization and storylines are all excellent. This DVD gives you the chance to see all 14 episodes that were made (yes, only 14, thank you very much FOX!) in their intended order. So do yourself a favor and get this DVD and then order the DVD of the equally as good movie followup: Serenity.
