Ellen Ripley died fighting the perfect predator. Two hundred years and eight horrific experiments later, she's back. A group of scientists has cloned her-along with the alien queen inside of her-hoping to breed the ultimate weapon. But the resurrected Ripley is full of surprises for her creators, as are the aliens. And soon, a lot more than all hell breaks loose! Just my ever-humble opinion, of course... - 1 out of 5 (9/2/2001)
And everybody who knows me knows just how humble all my opinions are.
Anyway, 'Alien' is without question the greatest science fiction ever made, and 'Alien: Resurrection' is by far the worst! The acting was pitiful (and I generally like Winona Ryder!), the special effects gave 'Lost in Space' (the show, not the movie) a good name, and that creature at the end... what in the hell was that?!??!?!?!!?!? After "Alien" (1979), this is the BEST! - 4.5 out of 5 (5/8/2001)
Great film, great acting, new and fresh characters like Ryder, by the way, excellent Ryder, new innovation to the film, good directing. Great!

While ALIEN was a good sci-fi movie, ALIENS an action-packed film and ALIEN3 an " I really don't know what " movie, director Jean-Pierre Jeunet's ALIEN : RESURRECTION ends the saga of the bitch with a film filled with innovative visual and thematic ideas. In ALIEN, humans, robots and the bitch were clearly three different species. On the contrary, in ALIEN4, aliens and robots are often more humans than our successors.
