Empire Review great christmas film - 4.5 out of 5  (10/1/2003) Everyone has their special Christmas movies that they watch year after year. For me, A Christmas Story was and is one of those traditional films. Of course I couldn't miss checking it out on DVD. Ralphie is an average American kid. He goes to school and deals with the all the same problems most kids do, facing Bullies, parents and homework. But now he has run into a challenge unlike any other. No matter how much its on TV during the holidays, its always fun to watch!! NOW, the widescreen version on DVD is finally available. COOL! The audio is still DD 1.0, which is all right for this type of movie. The video (resolution) has been improved. The short documentary is good (Ralphie still looks the same, 20 years later), and the extras are neat.Ill enjoy it a 1000 times over...   more >>
