They live, and They are here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. (And They are fresh out of bubble-gum.) No clue what I'm talking about? Well, let me tell you, I'm talking about one of the greatest "guilty pleasure" guy movies ever made, namely John Carpenter's They Live. Now as if gun fights, aliens, beautiful women and government plots weren't enough to make a man salivate over this flick, check out the star. Bought this rerelease sight unseen and I'd hoped for more elaborate features, specifically a commentary or such from Carpenter or Piper, but the film is just so much fun (and looks great for the budget) that its hard to not recommend it. Classic music as well. Great fun stuff. :)

the dvd has no features at all but what you want is the movie it rocks hard core not only does it have one of the best fight scenes ever it has one of the coolest ideas for a movie ever

Better put on your special glasses or else! - 4 out of 5 (1/22/2004)
I'm not kidding you about this one. It freakin' rocks the TV box yo. Complete with Roddy Piper (Who would have thought that he could kick so much alien a**), a bloody punching match in the back alley arena, and plenty of black glasses for everyone, it's sure to liven up your night. Check it out and show a friend too. Don't hide all of the fun for yourself.
