"Much more thania first-rate action epic. We'reiin that rare territory where theisequel isia triumph over theioriginal." - Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper
Sentinels swarm. Smith clones. Neo flies... but perhaps not even a Chosen One gifted with astonishing new powers can stop the advance of the Machines.
Neo. Morpheus. Trinity. They're back for the powerful second chapter of The Matrix trilogy, and exciting new allies join them in the struggle against foes who are cloned, upgraded and closing in on humanity's last enclave. Back, too, are the Wachowski Brothers and producer Joel Silver, expanding their vision with a spectacle that rocks the senses, probes the heart and shapes filmmaking's tomorrows. What is the Matrix? The answers lead to more worlds of bold possibility - and to a destiny that passes from revelations to Revolutions.

The Matrix Misfired - 4 out of 5 (10/20/2003)
Without knowing what will happen in the upcoming Matrix Revolutions, it becomes somewhat hard to assess The Matrix Reloaded as a motion picture. Will the final chapter in the trilogy answer some of the questions posed in the second installment, or will it just add more confusion to the mix?
The Matrix Reloaded opens with Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) apparently being killed during a high-rise battle. Not to worry though, it's merely a dream that Neo (Keanu Reeves) keeps ha

Second installment in the Matrix trilogy - 4.75 out of 5 (10/14/2003)
I have always enjoyed Sci-Fi, both in the books I read and the films I watch. This is not unusual; this is one of the most popular genres and for good reason. Sci-Fi allows us to leave this mundane world behind for a little while and transcend the common restraints of time and space. In 1999 a film came out that was a truly pivotal movie, one that exerted incredible influence on the way the genre for be presented in the future. The Matrix told the story of Tom Anderson, a computer programmer tha

I've seen better... - 4 out of 5 (11/10/2003)
Four years waiting for the sequel just to find out the producers bet the big budget on non-revolutionary special effects (as the first Matrix did succesfully), rather than a good screenplay (... also, as the first Matrix did).
I hope "Revolutions" makes justice to all of us fans of the first installment.
As for the DVD, well, my summary of comment says it all: I've seen better. It's incredible that even the first "Matrix" DVD had so many contents in a single one sided disc, rather than "Reload

great dvd for a below average film - 3.5 out of 5 (10/23/2003)
i waited till the dvd was released before i watched this film. and while the dvd is presented with excellent transference. the film-story contained within the dvd is a far cry from a quality movie. save for the special effects. which are astonishing. the linear plot with loopholes and all leaves more than to be desired.
one example being NEO and his matrix abilities......super hacker, super coder, super programmer. if this is the case than what the hell does he need to kung-fu fight his way
