Empire Review Cute for kids - 4 out of 5  (9/22/2003) Eddie Murphy seems to be stuck in his family film phase again, and while Daddy Day Care is a cute enough family film, it's still definitely not a stretch for Murphy and it's also not one of his best films. But I'm not the family audience he was hoping for here, in fact I think I'm one of about three people out there who liked Metro, so watching Eddie smile his patented aw shuck's smile as the kids carry the film was a little on the painful side.
