A Must-Have Christmas Movie! - 4.75 out of 5 (12/15/2006)
As a language arts teacher, I like to read "A Christmas Carol", then do a comparison of the story with the film version. This version makes the ghost come to life! Albert Finney is the best Scrooge out of all of the versions I've seen. We have a yearly tradition of watching this with our best friends and family members, and all of us wouldn't dream of missing out. Without this film, it's just not Christmas1

This is a holiday classic - 3.5 out of 5 (12/31/2003)
My wife and I are always surprised during the holidays by the number of people who say they have never seen this movie. We bought 4 extra copies last year so we could loan it out. We have many Christmas movies and we watch most of them every year, however, we watch Scrooge at least 3 times each year. The music is terrific and the acting is great. Albert Finney is at his best.

The best Scrooge of them all. - 3.5 out of 5 (12/31/2003)
This is hands down the best Scrooge made to date. It's a musical yes but that music is wonderful and can't help but place you right into this film. If you've seen the other Scrooge films but have missed this one all of these years do yourself a favor and see this Scrooge. You will be very happy you took the chance. I have been writing up a storm the past few years trying to get this on DVD - Finally the best version is available on the best media.
