Synopsis
The Critically Acclaimed Epic Event

Steven Spielberg presents an epic entertainment event spanning three families, four generations and 50 years of unearthly secrets. With cutting-edge special effects and a storyline of gripping, otherworldly suspense, Taken launches you into a realm of alien abductions and deadly conspiracies reaching from World War II to the present. An extraordinary chronicle of humankind's relationship to the mysterious extraterrestrials in our midst, this visionary adventure is being hailed as "the best television miniseries since HBO's Band of Brothers" (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette).

One of the most ambitious is the Sci-Fi channel's presentation of Taken, a twenty hour long look at three families touched by extra-terrestrials. Naturally, the   more >>

Typical Spielberg treatment - 3 out of 5  (2/3/2004)

Probably the biggest mystery is why an ambitious Air Force Captain assigned to cover up the Roswell crash would murder his girlfriend early in the investigation and his wife years later. But, after all, he's with the government, and governments in Spielberg epics ar   more >>

Great Miniseries Gets Mediocre Treatment on DVD - 3.75 out of 5  (10/23/2003)
I rated the film, audio, and video as above average to best. I think this is a great miniseries with production value equal to that of Band of Brothers, which I think is one of the best miniseries of all time. The story line is interesting and keeps your interest throughout the film. The audio and video on this DVD are also very clear with good use of surround speakers. The packaging is similar to that of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is acceptable, although I would really like to have had a   more >>
