Wow - 4.5 out of 5 (5/6/2005)
This is Paul Newman's greatest film. He plays a charismatic anti-hero with a great smile. He is a moral man that doesn't like the law. He never hurts anyone, but he doesn't care for authority. An amazing film!

...A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE? - 4.5 out of 5 (12/19/1998)
PAUL NEWMAN GIVES ONE OF HIS BEST PERFORMANCES IN THIS MOVIE. HE IS "COOL HAND LUKE", A MAN WHO REFUSES TO CONFORM TO SOCIETY'S RULES. A MAN WHO WILL FIGHT AGAINST ANYTHING OR ANYBODY IN ORDER TO PROTECT HIS INDIVIDUALITY, EVEN IF THAT MEANS RISK HIS OWN LIFE. NEWMAN AS LUKE, GIVES A NEW MEANING TO THE WORD "ANTI-HERO". PART REBEL, PART CON-MAN, LUKE IS A MAN THAT INSPIRES RESPECT. A GREAT MOVIE, WITH GREAT PERFORMANCES, AND A GREAT AND TOUCHING SCRIPT.
THIS DVD LOOKS TERRIFIC. THE COLORS ARE
