Customer Review Aliens - B+ - 4 out of 5  (4/18/2002) Not really the package the laserdisc boxed set was, however, not bad. An interview with Cameron conducted by Don Shaye of Cinefex, some production stills and a bit of behind the scenes video footage compliment this disc. And don't forget the longer cut of the film, showcasing some of the best cut footage from any film in movie history. One word of caution, this is a long movie, and the aliens don't show for about an hour. James Cameron improved on the original "Alien" big time, I think that this is much better than the original. The DVD is nice picture qality and sound are first rate and the extras are impresive.   more >> Customer Review Gorgeous disc - get it now! - 4.25 out of 5  (3/26/2000) For me, Aliens was always a fairly mystical film as a young child. I'd see the action figures, the vinyl model kits, the comics, that gorgeous blue logo, and it seemed to be a film terrifying yet exhilerating. Admittedly, it was the first time I ever saw the movie properly on DVD and it was amazing! It pounds and is relentless and doesn't give up for a minute - it's like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre of sci-fi.
