Empire Review Loonet Tooney - 4 out of 5  (7/29/2002) I suppose my reviewing GREMLINS 2 before GREMLINS might seem a bit backwards, but the truth is that I preferred this movie to the first one. Whereas the first GREMLINS was an inspired mix of Norman Rockwell Christmas and Joe Dante craziness, the second film is sheer Warner Brothers Lunacy and it brings back memories of the golden age of Looney Toons cartoons.
