When a mysterious fire threatens the town of Lock Lamond, Darcy Hamilton is caught between the burning flames and the love for her daughter, Kylie.
As danger rises, Darcy, an expert firejumper, leaps from a helicopter into the red hot blaze below and leads her team into the burning forest. Smothered by smoke and surrounded by flames, the firefighters battle back and manage to control the blaze.
Shaken, Darcy suspects arson and fears what could happen if a larger fire is ignited. With the town in the midst of its tourist season, she unfortunately finds out.
A second blaze erupts in the mountains, catching the firefighters off guard. It rips through the forest, consuming everything in its path. The blaze is on a course headed straight for town.
As the locals ask for answers, the fire chief accuses Kylie and her boyfriend of starting the fires. With the mayor unwilling to evacuate, Darcy comes up with a daring plan. If she succeeds, she will save the town and clear her daughter's name. If she fails, Lock Lamond will be swallowed by the Inferno!
