The greatest epic ever formatted to fit your TV screen. - 5 out of 5 (8/8/2002)
Being a long time fan of the writings of J.R.R Tolkien, I was both excited and skeptical when I heard the announcement that a deal had been signed to produce the screen version of Lord Of the Rings. It was a project that was proposed and rejected many times over the years because technology just couldn't due justice to the vision Tolkien set down on paper. Add to that that the director named for the project was Peter Jackson, whom I had previously only known from Dead Alive and The Frightene

I was VERY pleased with this movie. All three of them are great. They keep you guessing and on the edge of you seat! GO GET ALL THREE!!!

There are no mistakes in this film, it is perfect. And Gandalf doesn't say "Jesus". He says "Oh, It's Useless!!" Turn on the subtitles and you'll see what he says.
