Flashfire is a gripping tale of arson, murder and conspiracy. A series of suspicious fires has Los Angeles in a panic. Billy Zane is Detective Jack Flinder, assigned by Captain Ben Durand (Louis Gossett, Jr.) to investigate. In no time Jack and his partner are hot on the heels of a gang of arsonists. During a dramatic rooftop shootout with one of the criminals, Jack becomes a hero when he saves the life of a young hostage, and is rewarded with a promotion. But when his partner is brutally murdered after discovering who is secretly behind the fires, Jack hits the streets to search for the killers. He soon learns there is much more to this case than meets the eye. With the help of Lisa Cates (Kristen Minter), a beautiful prostitute who witnessed the execution-style slaying of his partner, Jack quickly realizes there is no one he can trust and soon the trail of suspects leads all the way from the mean streets of the city to the top ranks of his own department.
