"Fun For The Whole Family." -US Weekly
Make no bones about it, Disney's Snow Dogs is a hilarious, action-packed comedy your whole family will love. Eight adorable but mischievous dogs get the best of dog hater Ted Brooks (Cuba Gooding Jr.) when he leaves his successful Miami Beach dental practice for the wilds of Alaska to claim his inheritance- seven Siberian huskies and a border collie- and discover his roots. As Ted's life goes to the dogs, he rises to the occasion and vows to learn to mush with his inheritance. Totally out of his element, he faces challenges he's never dreamed of. There's a blizzard, thin ice, an intimidating, crusty old mountain man named Thunder Jack (James Coburn), the Artic Challenge Sled Dog Race that's only two weeks away, and a life-and-death rescue. This fish-out-of-water, tail-wagging comedy is nothing but doggone good fun and a celebration of family - both human and canine!

going to the dogs - 3.75 out of 5 (5/10/2002)
SNOW DOGS caused some growls in the theater when it was discovered that the talking dogs shown on the commercial didn't appear in the movie, except for one scene.
And truth be told, that really isn't a fair observation of the film.
First of all, it assumes that the dogs actually need voices to be understood and this is not the case. In fact, I think the physical comedy works better because of the fact the dogs don't speak.
Second of all, the dogs aren't the biggest part of the movie.

Fun loving family movie - 4 out of 5 (7/22/2002)
This movie is definitely a fun loving family movie. It is definitely recommended for families to share some heart warming fun together watching this movie. The exclusion of this movie in wide screen format should not deter anyone from purchasing this movie. The soundtrack in DIS and Dolby is very well done and this should be enough to make up for the movie not available in wide screen format. Definitely recommended for family viewing pleasure

1.33:1 -- Come on Disney! - 1.75 out of 5 (6/6/2002)
I bought it and returned it! Full screen only. My whole family was really looking forward to seeing this. My wife took my children to see it in the theatre and they loved it. But I'll be danged if I'm buying this DVD in full screen and showing it on my 11 foot theatre screen! Same on you Disney!

It will bring on a smile! - 3.25 out of 5 (5/28/2002)
Can you smile for 99 minutes? Snow Dogs (PG) staring Cuba Gooding and his team of dogs will help make sure you do. Cuba's smile and all those dogs are infectious. Ted, (Gooding) is a dentist from Miami and finds out he is adopted. Nothing unusually about that, except his dad is James Coburn and he was born in Alaska. Ted travels to Alaska to settle his biological mother's estate and falls in love with a pretty local girl and of course those dogs! The rest is very predictable. If you're loo
