Decent film, lousy disc - 2.5 out of 5 (7/15/2003)
GATOR is the sequel to WHITE LIGHTING, which was the first appearance of Gator McKlusky, all around good ol' boy and moonshine runner.
That first film came a hair's breath away from being the first film directed by Steven Spielberg. In fact some legends say that Spielberg blocked most of WHITE LIGHTNING and that's why the first movie was perceived as so well done.
And then came GATOR. The sequel is not the same movie because where WHITE LIGHTNING was an action film, GATOR is a comedy act

Boring Movie - 3 out of 5 (8/25/2003)
MGM killed another DVD movie by chopping this 2.35 Widescreen down to a worthless pan & scan. When will they ever learn! Movie is not that good anyway so save your money.
