Full screen bad, but film damn good - 3 out of 5 (6/26/2003)
Orion Pictures thought they had all the bases covered when they produced REMO WILLIAMS. The character was based on a series of novels by writer Richard Sapir that had sold well over thirty million copies, and they hired Guy Hamilton to direct the film.
Hamilton had been a veteran of the action/adventure genre and was responsible for four James Bond films (as well as the pre-credits sequence on a fifth) and several other films that are considered to be classics of the genre.

It stinks! - 2.25 out of 5 (2/26/2004)
The DVD, that is. This movie is freakin' great but MGM just HAD to give it crappy full-frame video and awful sound, with just a trailer as the single feature. I am truly ashamed of you, MGM.

This film died at the cinema for a good reason... - 2 out of 5 (2/16/2004)
This film tried to be so many things to so many people and failed at every one of them.
The character (and actor) are very likable which is unfortunately the best that could be said about this film.
Avoid it as did the film going public. Only a die-hard of the books this movie is based on would venture into this bore of an adventure film.
And only on standard screen! Sheesh!! DVD Video is always a one from me if it doesn't get released in widescreen.

One of My Favorites - 3.25 out of 5 (7/28/2003)
Destroyer series readers won't be disappointed. Fred Ward and Joel Gray are excellent. They really should do another movie in this day and time when special effects aren't as limited as they were in '85.
