Synopsis
When you're tired of your quiet life, it's timeito start...

Judith Nelson (Holly Hunter), newly divorced, is consumed by vindictive fantasies of her ex-husband and his young bride. Her life is empty until she finds unexpected companionship in a bold and sassy jazz singer (Queen Latifah) at a local club and the down-on-his-luck elevator operator (Danny DeVito) in her fashionable Fifth Avenue building.
Although no longer alone, her life still seems unfulfilled until a passionate kiss from a stranger opens her eyes to all that she's been missing.

This move sucked! - 1 out of 5  (11/1/2000)
DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE!! DO NOT EVER WATCH THIS MOVIE! I have seen some movies in my day but this is without a doubt one of the worst I have ever seen. You would think it would at least have a decent ending. The movie just ends!!! What a piece of garbage!   more >>

A MOVIE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OR... WORSE - 4.5 out of 5  (9/24/1999)
Not so long ago, Hollywood movies were worldly appreciated because of the universality of the themes treated by the screenplay writers and the directors. Actors didn't have to speak, the audience, american, french or japanese, knew what James Stewart or Greta Garbo thought just by watching their faces. That was the Golden Age of cinema. LIVING OUT LOUD, like HAPPINESS or HURLYBURLY develops themes which surely are going to please New-Yorkers or californian people but frankly are not my cup of   more >>
