A surprisingly captivating film filled with insight and hope, paralleling the lives of three women. - 4.5 out of 5 (7/2/2003)
THE HOURS was one of those films that many people didn't pay too much attention to until it was nominated for the Oscars. Then everyone seemed to know the title. I was among those people and really had no interest in the film until the Oscars were all said and done. When it was presented to me to review I was a little hesitant and nervous. Now that it was "Academy Award Winner -Best Actress Of The Year, Nicole Kidman" and "Golden Globe Best Picture Winner." What had I missed? Not only Nico

Title says it all - 2.75 out of 5 (7/7/2003)
The title says it all, it goes on for hours and hours. While the idea of the story was a good idea, it sucked. Nicole did not put in an Oscar winning performance for this movie, OK she wore some makeup and a false nose. I think the true 'stars' of this movie were Julianne Moore and Ed Harris, two excellent performances that Oscar failed to notice.
