A sequel to better the original - 5 out of 5 (11/29/2005)
The remake of Frank Herbert's Dune was an enjoyable view as well as Lynch's 1984 version. Then along comes Children of Dune and to tell you the truth, I didnt bother to even watch it when it ran on The Sci-Fi Channel. Two years later, I decided to purchase this mini-series as I was out of alternatives to satisfy my sci-fi thirst, and wow was i ever wrong! This mini-series was absolutely epic! Wonderful Film - 4.75 out of 5 (7/11/2005)
A fantastic journey into the next generation of the Atreides family. It embodies great acting and a superb musical score. The dramatic weight of this chapter of the Dune anthology is stunning. The look of the film is excellent. A must-buy for any fan of science fiction.

Not as good as the first but still good - 4.25 out of 5 (11/3/2003)
Dune: The Directors Cut, was a triumph. This follow up does not measure up to that but is still worth getting in its own right. Many liberties are taken with the book with lines going to different characters and several significant plot changes. Nevertheless, the original spirit and suspense of the book are maintained.
