Synopsis Universal Western Collection With the integrity and depth of an epic, Shenandoah tells the dramatic story of a man caught in a dilemma. Customer Review Nice Western, great DVD! - 4 out of 5  (5/12/2003) The best Western James Stewart made in the 1960s. He was so pleased with it and went on making 3 more films with director Andrew McLaglen, but the results were unsatisfactory. In fact, SHENANDOAH is the only memorable film in Andrew's profilic career. I think James Lee Barrett's screenplay is the main reason for its success. SHENANDOAH is not an actioner but a very moving civil war drama, with a brilliant performance by Stewart. Katharine Ross and George Kennedy were still unknown at the time   more >>
