Since I'm also a confirmed DVD/Cinima nut Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone should have been a natural for me. Alas, it is/was instead a bit of a disappointment. Why? One of the things that makes Rowland's books such a treat is that they are as magical as their subject. The reader feels constant amazement just a young Harry must do.
