Galactic wars of the near-future are fought by soldiers trained to be merciless, obedient warriors. But times change. New bio-engineered combatants make veterans like Sgt. Todd obsolete. But don't expect to toss Todd on the scrap heap without a fight.
Spectacular in scale, Soldier backs its searing action with a startling vision in which mammoth "crawler" vehicles roam, planetary outcasts survive amid the jetsam of Earth's past and technology is almost beyond human control. It's a vision that's more than an eerie future. It's a total combat zone.

Soldier rocks? - 3.5 out of 5 (11/11/2001)
Sorry hard core action buffs but this is a must miss. Yes the sound is great but that is about it. The picture is okay and the features suck and the story... what story? The story is simply stupid and dry. There is hardly any action, the action scenes there is... are quite cheezy and very predictbible. Kurt Russle says no more than a wooping 50 lines and this does not help the storyline at all.
If there had been a few good action scenes then it would pass for entertainment but sorry it jus

Awesome! - 5 out of 5 (11/4/2001)
At last an action film that delivers the action. Strong characters and strong storyline are also present. Proof yet again that films that rate poorly at the U.S. box office are far better than the ones that do well. Kurt Russell and the rest of the cast do a good job. Director Paul Anderson notches himself another solid film, roll on RESIDENT EVIL. The disc itself has some great extras the commentary alone is one of the best!

Rambo goes intergalactic, Terminator style! - 4.75 out of 5 (1/6/2000)
Take a new born child and raise him to be the perfect soldier. Conditioned to be fearless and without remorse for his enemies, Todd (Kurt Russell) gets the job done with "Terminator" efficiency. This film is great for anybody who liked Rambo and Terminator 2. Rambo, for it's one man against many theme and Terminator 2 for Todd's experience with "normal" humans who try and get him to feel the emotions he was born to experience. I gotta give this film a 5 because I can't think of a bad thing about
