"A Rip-Roaring Comedy!" -Los Angeles Times
Martin Lawrence is back...way back...in this outrageous fish-out-of-water comedy that's "armored with plenty of laughs!" (Hollywood Report Card)
A fast-talking maintenance worker (Lawrence) is in for a royally rude awakening when an unfortunate moat mishap at the Medieval World theme park transports him back in time to 14th century England. Now, armed with only his modern-day street smarts, he must deal with damsels in distress, an evil king -- and really bad plumbing. The knight life has never been more hilarious!

Sir Prance a lot - 4 out of 5 (3/31/2002)
The idea of a modern man traveling back in time to the days of King Arthur is not a new one in film, but the addition of Martin Lawrence makes it seem like one. Lawrence has never been my pick as funniest comedians. I loved him in BLUE STREAK and I hated BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE, but I did enjoy him in this more adult interpretation of A KID IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT.
Lawrence plays Jamal "Sky" Walker, an employee at Medieval World, a cheaply run amusement park that caters to a very small audience in

Seems like a great idea for a Martin movie. What went wrong? - 3.5 out of 5 (4/21/2002)
I had pretty high expectations for this film because to be frank, I thought the story sounded like an awesom way for Martin to release his typical comedy style. Well, something went wrong becuase this movie has way less laughs than the past films from Martin Laurence. The movie has its moments but they are far and few between. It seems like they took a good idea but forgot how to do Martin style comedy. Anyway, this was a good rental for $2 (at local Albertsons) but I'm glad I didn't purchas
