Empire Review A nicely done remix - 4 out of 5  (5/30/2003) It was just supposed to be another ordinary day at Empire Records. Of course ordinary for the employees at Empire Records is nothing resembling ordinary for the rest of us. So what happened with this little film that came out like a mouse and wound up becoming the proverbial two-ton elephant? I recall my first experience with the film well. I was stringing for a local newspaper and being a stringer means you never get to see any of the good films.
