Beneath theisurface, no one can hear you scream.
On what should be a routine rescue mission during World War II, the submarine USS Tiger Shark picks up three survivors of a U-boat attack. But for the crew-trapped together in the sub's narrow corridors and constricted spaces-the unexpected visitors seem to spark a series of chilling, otherworldly occurrences! Starring Hollywood favorites Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense, The Postman), Bruce Greenwood (Thirteen Days, Double Jeopardy) and Matt Davis (Legally Blonde, Blue Crush).

Awesome! Beautifully directed and suspenseful! - 4.5 out of 5 (9/19/2003)
Below far exceeded my expectations. The first time I saw it was on pay-per-view and I missed the first 30 minutes and the ending. This was enough to impress me though. The movie deals with a haunted submarine in the middle of war. There will be encounters with enemy ships (which were excitingly filmed), mechanical problems, and the crew itself. All of these things will keep you glued in this fast-paced action, thriller. The submarine sequences look great. The audio in this movie is really exciti

However, Below was quite disappointing, neither scary nor interesting, and not really worth your viewing time. It's about a World War II submarine whose crew rescues a couple of British citizens (and one Nazi) from a hospital vessel that has been sunk at sea, and eventually tells viewe

A movie like this comes once in a while that proves to be a real gem, yet nobody has heard of it before. That's the story with Below, a top notch thriller/ghost story, set in a submarine, in constricted space deep beneath the ocean, that did play in theaters, but had no marketing behind it. The story is creepy; after three survivors from a life raft are picked up, the luck runs out for the submarine crew. Their ship is attacked by germans, oil starts to leak, air is running out...and some unexp
