Idiots make lousy criminals
It's the easiest heist plan, the cleanest getaway, the biggest payday. It's the kind of sure thing folks in blue-collar Collinwood call a Bellini, so what could go wrong? In a word, everything!
George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh are the producers of Welcome To Collinwood, the gleeful comedy caper from debuting writer/directors Anthony & Joe Russo. William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, Sam Rockwell, Michael Jeter, Luis Guzman and Patricia Clarkson are among the down-and-out working stiffs whose total smarts are a couple knishes short of a full deli platter. And Clooney plays a veteran safecracker who provides dubious advice. You're about to bag a comedy Bellini. And that's no Kupuchnik!

Back in Big Lebowski territory - 4 out of 5 (5/22/2003)
Chances are pretty good that if you blinked last year, you missed WELCOME TO
COLLINWOOD in the local theater.
I will admit that I am one of those blinkers, and I regretted it because it
took me six months to finally get my hands on a copy of this delightful
little movie made by George Clooney and Steven Soderberg.
How delightful is it, you ask? Well, it's good enough that I'm going to
stop asking for my money back on SOLARIS. It is however not good enough to
make me stop complaining
