New Special Edition
Isolated, cut off. Inside an abandoned police station, a handful of cops and some convicts on their way to Death Row must join forces and defend themselves against the gang called Street Thunder, who have taken a bloody oath to destroy.
From the director or Halloween and The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13 combines elements of classic western and modern thrill to create a cult favorite, one of John Carpenter's very best films.

Now, by today's standards the violence in this movie may seem tame, but back in '76 this was pushing things. And today's filmmakers such as Quentin Tarentino or Robert Rodriguez owe much to this film as well as some of John Carpenter's

This movie is one of my all time favorites and I eagerly waited for this re-release. Upon viewing the DVD I noticed that the little green light on my JVC DVD player indicatinf digital playback was not on, as was the usual. While looking at the movie whenever the camera pans left or right the movie appears to be choppy. This also happened in the middle of JAy and Silent Bob Strikes Back. Not sure if this was a codong errorwithin the disc or what. If anyone knows please feel free to relay the prob
